A Timeless Abode of Faith & Devotion
Standing at the heart of Protappur since 1948, our temple has been a sacred gathering place for generations of devotees. Every stone and every ritual here carries the devotion of the families who built and continue to nurture this heritage.
The temple remains open throughout the year for daily worship, and comes alive during Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja and Ram Navami with music, rituals and community celebration.
Deity, Architecture & Rituals
Three things define our temple — the presence of Maa Durga, the craftsmanship of the structure that houses her, and the daily rituals that keep the devotion alive.
The Deity
Maa Durga is worshipped here in her traditional form, flanked by Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha and Kartik, following rituals passed down since 1948.
The Architecture
Built and maintained by generations of the community, the temple blends traditional Bengal temple design with details restored and cared for over the decades.
Daily Rituals
- Morning and evening Aarti.
- Daily Bhog offering.
- Weekly special puja.
- Festival-day rituals.
